Fear (feat. L.E.G.A.C.Y. & Sean Boog of The Away Team)

(L.E.G.A.C.Y. Intro)

It's fear
Tell me something man, what you scared of
Word?
Yeah I know a lot people, scared of the same things
Fear

(1st Verse: L.E.G.A.C.Y.)

Is it boogie man, scary man
Bugs and needles
Clowns or plane crashed or thugs in tuxedos
Is it the fear of getting stuck by your people
Or is it the fear of being followed home
Are you scared of snakes like Indiana Jones
vampire types, fear of stakes through the heart
Nick at Nite niggas, are you afraid of the dark
Who's under that bed or behind that door
Is it fear of being drafted, front line in a war
Is it fear dot com, or being shot
Kettle corn kernel, scared of being popped
You scared of the deep end
Drown in front of your people and can't reach them
Are you scared of spiders
Getting sent away and getting fucked by lifers
Fear like Mark Wahlberg, look at them they all scared
Are you scared to fly, are you scared to die

(Chorus: Edgar Allen Floe)

Fear, the enemy that makes you stand clear
Fear, the bad news intense to the ear
Fear, the road of life that you can't steer
Fear, the sense that your time is near

(Repeat)

(Intro to 2nd Verse: Sean Boog)

Yeah, I don't know man, it's got a hold on me
Fear
Sometimes, I just

(2nd Verse: Sean Boog)

Sometimes I wanna look up to the sky
with tears in my eyes
Question my greatest fear, why am I here to die
If there is an afterlife, what's it like
Is it heaven, is it what the reverend teaches us in church
or is it eternal sleep, where we dream the worst
or a bottomless pit at the end of the earth
where a billion souls scream and ain't none of them heard
or is it (NOTHING)
Silence, no peace or violence
No street sirens, evil, or God
do we go somewhere we pay for sins
or do we finally meet the one we prayed for sins
to be taken away, so we can join him in light
Are we stuck dwelling on our disappointments in life, shit
more that I write, I realize why I'm restless
My fear isn't death, it's not knowing where death is
And I guess it's
Shit I don't know

(Chorus x 2)

(3rd Verse: Edgar Allen Floe)

Yo
Reminiscing back in '84
Cruel shit I had to endure
Home Sour Home, rats on the floor
Life is poor, something that I can't ignore
There he go again, stealing from the corner store
I had big balls breaking and entering
Even as a young dude I practiced the sins of men
Family members wasn't off limits stealing that green paper
Had this fat knot, flashing at the teenagers
Ass whippings weekly, but nothing was beneath me
Wandering through each street, my ways stayed on repeat
Mommy's home, step dad is beating her
She live in hell, and I ain't making it easier
She punched through a glass window
Partially sliced wrist (damn)
That's when my life switched
Got to make her proud of me, and proceed to be a good brother
Shit is real, scared to death if I lose my mother

(Chorus x 2)

(End)

Shine

(Intro)

Uh huh, uh huh
Yeah, yeah
All y'all kats out there, listening to this
Just know this man
I do what I do
Day in day out, trying to perfect what I do man
It's all real
For all my peoples, that recognize real
It's all lovely though, yeah
I ain't trying to rule all
But I'm definitely trying to shine
This is for all y'all kats out there, that's doing you
Let's go

(1st Verse)

Ayo
Walk With E, you know the track
You know the stats
You know Floe can wake you up so you can face facts
Now everybody wanna stay and shine (in the game)
The same faces hog the playing time (what a shame)
Time out, you fake funk let me find out
Third eye opened wide is how I get the rhyme out, yeah
Industry Rule Number 8160
Today's Rap Deal Is Now Twice As Risky
We all wanna to shine
Either broadcasted on some worldwide shit
Or down on your block flaunting your new outfit
Whatever the scope, it still delivers hope
and quiets anyone that takes your life for a joke
When the garments are clean and mean
I feel like a king, back to my old self
Never left my throne, and casting out clones
To all my people with original style, welcome home

(Chorus)

To brothers holding up first over second
Just shine
To brothers knowing fear's the worst protection
Just shine (repeat x 8)
To sisters holding the keys to success
Just shine
To sisters knowing to lead with every step
Just shine (repeat 8)

(2nd Verse)

Check me out yo
I stay fly
While you're in shock and awe down by the wayside
And all I do is keep stress at a minimum
Assembling words and beats together
help generate adrenaline
Because stress is real shit
One less problem for a brother to deal with (that's real)
You know it gets crazy, when the world turns shady
Kats wanna hold you back, whatever the day be
Pull all tricks out, gotta keep it moving though
weather my shine is high noon, or a soothing glow
You're gonna feel me regardless
Better find another target
Somebody cold, heartless, frail
Some lightweight trying to tip the scale
Before the light rose, he already fell
It's a brand new point of view
and now the line's drawn
Fuck what you heard, I'm ready to get my shine on

(Chorus x 2)

(End)

Nametag Streetwise

(1st Verse)

Ayo
The floe is back for the first time
Showing you worst signs of sickness
Call the Paramedic
You don't want me to set it
Hard work deserves extra credit
Jealousy will get the best of you if you let it
so dead it, I said it
The rude boy gwan reign
Respect, watch king do his damn ting
Island rhyming recognizing the shining
Finding diamonds through my gritty coal mining
Street jewels to teach fools
When your feet rule with each move, then we cool
My life's been rude
Had my fair share of despair
I don't care
The shit ain't gonna keep me 'round here, stagnant
Fuck a black magnet, I'mma keep attacking
Steep action and deep rapping and beat bastards
You amateur, the rest of y'all are so sad
I'm too real yo, check the nametag

(Chorus)

You should know better, rolling with bad luck
I'm a goal setter, throwing my tag up
You a code bender, knowing you lack trust
I'm a go-getter, flowing through fast, what!

(Repeat)

(2nd Verse)

Ayo
A Streetwiseman once said
Speak with some durable lines, then your verbals will shine
That's my line
I don't wanna quote myself
but if it's priceless, then it better be recognized
You look for better guys
to try to compare
they ain't there, fake replicas
Eddie Ellen Flows
Phony phonics man, they be selling those
You a dog with rabies, damn
Can't be Yellin' Old shit
Get your life cut short, with this trife blood sport
thought he would lay low, but the brother was caught
Now he's soft spoken
I keep asking dude what up now
'cause before he was wide open
Talking so much shit, concerning the rap prince
Changing him to a mime was a cinch
My soul stays engraved on the paper
EAF, the name is so major

(Chorus x 4)

(Chorus fade out)

(End)

Walk With E

EAF, yeah

(1st Verse)

Let's take a walk, everybody prepare
The truth hurts, be scared
The skeptical should beware
Study life's great adventures, I take better notes
View it through the eyes of Edgar, with Floe's telescope
Take a more detailed look, and learn from my book
To make it this long, this is the route that I took
Common sense, determination
Not giving a fuck mode
to writing whatever the mind chose
and explode
My work will never be finished
I'm a little bit different
but a lotta bit gifted
The presence is felt and feels remarkable
After I start the show, next up to bat bunted
You don't want it
The number one slot at the top doc
Your work is simply malpractice
Pity your staff of actors
The art of emceeing I mastered
so it's all them foul mouths I'm coming after
And I ain't talking about curse words
worse words
Those disrespecting my name and what I rep
That's your last step
You fight mine and I respond fast
I can lead you to the right path
But you gotta

(Chorus)
Walk with me, go with this leader
Travel through reality, grow with this teacher
Walk with E, let's go and take a look around
Edgar Allen's now the talk of the town

(Repeat)

(2nd Verse)

If you choose to follow
You ain't gotta hold my hand or nothing like that
Just hold yourself down, avoid life's traps
No one ever said it was a piece of cake
This is why most brothers end up half baked
Shot or killed, or locked up with no free will
A potential leader in the race remains in last place
What a sad case
So let's fight and not run
Show them how to fight through the struggle
instead of being in trouble with the law
The adolescents value the lesson
so upset with the world they start asking some questions
which is good
There should be other ways out the hood
instead of just entertainment or a fucking arraignment
I see through all the sales pitches
They look at us as big business
African Imports, divine
The more words I speak, the more supporters I find
If you follow mine, you will not be left behind
We all move with a purpose
Never talk in a manner worthless
'cause that road leads to curtains, dead end
A figure 8 with no exit
A pointless message
I can't be repping the short term
My ground is too firm to not focus on my longevity
It's the ultimate destiny, ahead at full speed
with ease
Time for us to all awaken from the slumber
Bear witness to the power in numbers and just

(Chorus x 2)

Uh huh, That's right, Edgar Allen Floe
and 9th Wonder
Take a walk with me y'all, let's go forward
Hip Hop Ya Don't Stop, yeah
That's what's up
Justus League is What You Need
Word up, yo
I'm out y'all, peace

Someday

(Someday, Someday)

(1st Verse)

Ayo
Someday, I wanna live stress free
create an academy on the art of Emcee
Me and Mal Demolish to be loved overseas
Concentrate on the skies, that's how it supposed to be
Take the drugs out the underground economy
Pass the torch and concentrate on making beats
Sold out shows, everybody out their seats
A beautiful wife, her first name will be Lattice
Someday, you will enjoy all my novels
Appreciate that this brown man you can follow
without embarrassment, just positive respect
forgive my mistakes 'cause you love my intellect
You'll watch how in my own way I'll change the world
and have all brothers respect all his black pearls
You'll finally understand why I speak with a passion
and still wanna see more self initiated action yo, but

Someday
Someday

(Chorus)
Someday x 6

(2nd Verse)

Ayo
Someday, I want all heads to nod
once I say man needs to stop playing God
I want people to finally stop destroying themselves
and going to the doctor thinking he's the only help
I wish for a particular type of Communism
'cause the poor will stay poor in this current system
I want all people to get a true form of freedom
When Edgar Allen Floe is speaking, better believe him
I want more of us to live a fuller life
'cause just getting by will no longer suffice
I know it's difficult
and easy is simply the reciprocal
but somebody's trying to finish you
Ayo Someday, you're gonna thank me for these words
'cause right now, it's the greatest shit you never heard
You wish we could've had a conversation together
or meet each other and start exchanging pen pal letters
You'll think twice before you wild out
You'll realize what patience is all about
Cease all the droughts in your mind
Your anger will unwind
Figure out there's no such thing as sign of the times
'Cause Time is mutually exclusive to any right or wrong doing
You're trying to keep up with its movement
And you'll sit with your peers, and analyze what you hear
and appreciate it even more with every passing year yo, but
Someday
Someday

(Chorus)

(End

The Righteous Way To Go

(1st Verse)

Yo
In steps the emcee, E-A-F
I got no one to impress, but I strive to be the best
The Undefined neglects any average mediocre
using all these simple rappers as a chauffer
your skills parented
In NC you will receive banishment
Your homeboys are the next candidates
And all my people ran with it
relating to its righteousness, now
we trying to innovate the new styles
Black and Proud
but build with anybody on the same plane
Nothing to lose, Infinity to Gain
The mission, let the people and the music grow
This be the righteous way to go

(Chorus)

NCson, any season
Edgar with the 9th Wonder of the globe
NCson, every season
this be the righteous way to go

(2nd Verse)

It's a wonderful world 9th
we witnessed battle emcees as half pints
12 years old and mad nice
when the golden age began he didn't have a life
Hip Hop's Fountain of Youth we can't sacrifice
I've heard the illest masterpieces recently
but on a lower level
Those part of the movement, we're here to help you
But in our own circumference, leaving out the dumb shit
along with fake rappers dramatizing some skit
The real killers staying on the low
and some trying to change
New emcees emerge every time I turn a page
Learning from one of the best in the class
and understanding how to acquire more of the cash
and more of the music, suspicion I refuse it
After this track, we must continue to move it forward
My artform I adore it
You get an F- for your poor performance

(Chorus x 2)

(Verse 3)

(The Righteous Way To Go) is focus
Concentrating on your craft to keep it potent
That shit is terrible, start over at that moment
Don't get on stage 'til you become a better showman
(The Righteous Way To Go) is backtrack
Witness Hip Hop at its pinnacle, listen to
everything, notice how hardly nobody sings
showing true skills is how everyone was trained
(The Righteous Way to Go) is patience
Them wack kats get a deal fast
and quickly tossed on they ass
contracts with incomplete math
from afar you see wealth, but your career's a short path
(The Righteous Way To Go) is well-being
physical and mental toughness all seasons
you can't rock a show if you ain't breathing
you looking very elderly, but your brain's teething
(The Righteous Way To Go) is Edgar Allen Floe

(Curtis Mayfield vocal snippet)

I knew I was a good person at heart
and even when I had to hit you with a hard lyric
I knew how to be soft and hard, gentle, easy
and harsh when it was necessary
such is the ways of life)

(Chorus X 2)

(End)
